Alphas In The Street: Take Back Our Streets

“Alphas In The Streets” was a march from Bellwood, IL and rally in Maywood, IL hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. to press for a state budget led by State Rep. Emanuel Chris Welch. Key points were for the youth to become more active and organized while helping elected officials place pressure on the State of Illinois to pass a budget which is a major step that can deter the violence that is looming over Chicago and surrounding neighborhoods. Maywood’s Mayor Edwenna Perkins, Congressman Danny K. Davis, along with Proviso East Marching Band was also in attendance.
